    Ukrainian-Style Stew with Canned Meat – A Delicious and Easy Recipe

    This simple and flavorful dish combines canned meat, potatoes, and vegetables, all stewed together to perfection. The result is a fragrant meal best served with fresh herbs.

    Ingredients:

    • ✅1 can of canned meat (pork or beef)
    • ✅5-6 potatoes
    • ✅1 carrot
    • ✅1 onion
    • ✅2 garlic cloves
    • ✅1 tbsp tomato paste (or 2 tbsp tomato juice)
    • ✅1-2 bay leaves
    • ✅1 tsp sweet paprika
    • ✅Salt and pepper to taste
    • ✅Oil for frying
    • ✅Fresh herbs (dill, parsley) for serving

    Instructions:

    Prepare the vegetables:

    • 🔹Peel and cut the potatoes into large cubes.
    • 🔹Grate the carrot or cut it into thin strips.
    • 🔹Slice the onion into half-rings.
    • 🔹Finely chop the garlic.

      Sauté the vegetables:

    • 🔹Heat some oil in a pan or pot.
    • 🔹Fry the onion until translucent, then add the carrot and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
    • 🔹Stir in the tomato paste and paprika, cooking for another minute.

       Add the canned meat:

    • 🔹Open the can, take out the meat, and break it into smaller pieces if necessary.
    • 🔹Add the meat along with some of its fat to the vegetables and fry for 2 minutes to release the flavors.

      Stew the dish:

    • 🔹Add the potatoes and mix well.
    • 🔹Pour in 1-1.5 cups of hot water or broth.
    • 🔹Add the bay leaf, salt, and pepper to taste.
    • 🔹Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer covered for 20-25 minutes until the potatoes are soft.

      Final touch:

    • 🔹Stir in the chopped garlic.
    • 🔹Turn off the heat and let the dish sit for 5-10 minutes.

       Serve:

    Divide the stew into plates and sprinkle with fresh chopped herbs.
