Buckwheat with stew in a crockpot is the perfect choice for a hearty and tasty dinner, especially when you need to feed a large family, because it won't be much in a frying pan.
Thanks to the deep dish, the dish will be larger, and all the ingredients reveal their flavor well, so the dish is crumbly and flavorful.
The main role in this dish is played by the quality of the stew - it is best to use homemade or in a glass jar, where the content of meat, fat and broth is clearly visible. However, you can also use stew in a metal can, but only if you trust the manufacturer.
For an even richer flavor, add fresh herbs and vegetables, which give the dish an appetizing aroma and piquancy.
It is thanks to the stew and vegetables that it tastes even better than the classic preparation, and a minimum of effort makes it a great option for both home lunch or dinner and for traveling.
Simple, delicious and hassle-free!
Ingredients:
✅ Buckwheat groats - 350 gr.
✅ 1 can of stew (pork, beef, poultry) (about 550 g)
✅ 1 onion
✅1 large carrot
✅ Water (750 ml.)
✅ Salt, pepper (pepper mixture) - to taste (Attention! Please note that the stew is salted)
✅ Parsley - 1 bunch.
Preparation:
🔹 Preparation - rinse the buckwheat thoroughly under running water.
🔹 Vegetable flavor - put the fat from the can of stew in a separate dish.
🔹 Vegetable flavor - chop the onion, grate the carrots and fry them in a frying pan or in a saucepan over low heat in the fat that is in the stew until golden brown.
🔹 The stew is ready - add the stew to the vegetables, stir and heat to combine the flavors.
🔹 Time for the buckwheat - pour the buckwheat into the pan, mix thoroughly.
🔹 The final chord - pour water over everything. Cover and cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes until all the liquid is absorbed into the buckwheat.
🔹 The final touch - remove from heat, let the dish brew for 5-10 minutes.
Tips:
🔶For extra flavor, onions, carrots, tomatoes or ketchup are added to buckwheat stew, but spices and butter are not needed at all.
🔶 To make it tasty, you need to know some things: choose a quality stew, rinse the buckwheat well and take the ratio of buckwheat to water 1:2. Any stew is suitable for such porridge: pork, beef, and chicken.
🔶To prepare this dish, take a high-quality stew, the label of which says, for example, "Pork stew", and not "Stew", because it is made from pure lumpy meat and must comply with DSTU (not TUU!).
Serving:
Serve hot, sprinkled with fresh chopped herbs, with pickled cucumbers or pickled vegetables.
The buckwheat will be crumbly, tender, and full of the incredible flavor of stewed meat.
Enjoy it together!
